EXHIBITOR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How does my company/organization apply for an exhibit booth?

A. Complete and return the application for exhibit space located within the SLEEP 2009 Exhibitor Prospectus. The SLEEP 2009 Exhibitor Prospectus will be available in October 2008. Payment in full must be provided with the application. Additional details and exhibit guidelines can be found within the SLEEP 2009 Exhibitor Prospectus.


Q. How many exhibiting companies participated in last year’s SLEEP 2008 meeting?

A. Nearly 160 companies exhibited at SLEEP 2008, including pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers, publishers and software companies. A full list of exhibitors can be viewed in the SLEEP 2009 Exhibitor Prospectus.


Q. When is booth space assigned?

A. Booth space notifications will be sent via e-mail and mail in late February 2009.


Q. Are exhibit booths carpeted?

A. The APSS requires all exhibit booths to be carpeted; the APSS does not provide carpeting. Carpeting must be ordered in advance of the meeting through the official meeting decorator, Freeman Decorating. The aisles will be carpeted in charcoal.


Q. What is the exhibit booth cancellation policy?

A. All notices of cancellation must be received in writing. The date of receipt of such notice will be used as the official cancellation/reduction date. Notices received prior to May 1, 2009, will incur a penalty equal to 20% of the total contracted space costs. Refunds will not be given for cancellations/reductions received after May 1, 2009.

Q. When can I start installing and dismantling my booth?

A. Exhibit installation will begin on Saturday, June 6 from 12:30pm until 5:00pm, and continue on Sunday, June 7 from 8:00am until 5:00pm. All crates and carts must be removed from the exhibit hall by 5:00pm on Sunday. Exhibit dismantling may not begin before 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 10 and must be completed by 12:00pm on Thursday, June 11. Q. Can attendees with exhibitor hall passes only get into the general sessions?

A. No. Exhibitors with hall passes can only get into the exhibit hall. In order to have access to the general session meeting you will need to have a full meeting badge. Each exhibiting company receives one complimentary full meeting badge. Additional full meeting badges can be purchased.


Q. When can I expect to receive an original copy of the SLEEP 2009 Exhibitor Prospectus?

A. The SLEEP 2009 Exhibitor Prospectus will be mailed in late September 2008.
